How We Work
Every project follows the same principle.
Your footage is handled with care and the director feels like they are in the room.
Your cut is delivered exactly how you imagined it.
Getting your footage to us.
For international productions or shoots where remote delivery is preferred, we set up a managed file transfer service with a direct, secure link that your DIT or production coordinator can upload to without any technical complexity on your end.

Collaborative notes, no email chains.
Your director and producer receive a private link to view cuts directly in their browser. Notes are left directly on the timeline, time coded and threaded, so nothing gets lost in translation. You can even draw on the footage for extra precise notes.
No software to install and no version confusion. We all share clean, trackable feedback.

Your director in the room. Wherever they are.
Your director sees the timeline in real time, hears the mix perfectly synced and can communicate with us as if they're sitting across the desk.

Picture lock, packaged and ready for post.
Your colourist and sound designer receive everything they need to pick up the project. And we will be on hand to help them with anything they need.

Sometimes you just want to be there.
This is not our default, our remote infrastructure handles everything a traditional edit suite does, without the overhead. But for the times when you just want to be in the room, we can provide it.
Booked in advance and billed as supplemental studio time. Speak to us about availability when you enquire.

FAQ
How does remote film editing actually work?
You send us the footage, we get to work, and you stay involved every step of the way. Live review sessions happen through Louper, so your director and producers see the timeline in real time and give notes as if they’re sitting next to us. No lag, no waiting, no compromise on the creative process. It’s remote post production built to feel like you’re in the room.
How do directors give notes on the edit remotely?
Through Louper. Your director gets a private link to view the cut in their browser, no software to install. Notes go directly on the timeline, time coded and threaded, so nothing gets lost between an email and an edit. For live sessions, it’s the same platform — full sync, in real time, real conversation.
How is footage delivered to a remote editor?
Two ways, whichever suits your production. Ship us a drive and we confirm receipt, log, and back everything up on arrival. Or we set up a secure managed transfer link your DIT can upload to directly. Either way, there’s zero technical burden on your production.
Can I still have in-person sessions with a remote editor?
Yes. Our remote workflow handles everything a traditional edit suite does, but some productions like a day or two in the room before picture lock. We can arrange a premium Soho dry hire suite on request, booked in advance and billed as supplemental studio time.
What do I receive at the end of the edit?
A full post turnover package at picture lock — AAF and XML timeline export, organised and clearly labelled media, and a turnover report built for your sound and grade teams. We’re on hand to help them pick it up cleanly, whatever they need.
Is remote film editing as good as working in a traditional edit suite?
For offline editorial, yes — often better. You get a proper edit suite experience without the facility overhead, and your director stays just as involved. The only difference is where everyone’s sitting. You still get the direct interactions with the editor and can see changes in real time.
